This years ride will be on Sunday the 2nd October, it will be the same format as previous years, namely three rides varying in length to suit all abilities. A guided family ride consisting of a 10 mile ride to an ice cream shop and back, a 70km medium route travelling through Bleasdale, and a 100km route going over the Trough of Bowland and Waddington Fell.
All rides to start from the Uclan Arena, Tom Benson Way, Preston PR2 1SG. The long ride starts at 09:00am, the medium route at 10:00am and the family route at 11:00am. The start time is not hard and fast, we will not turn anyone away, all we ask is that riders are back by 16:00 (4pm) or let us know if its going to be a late return.
As usual we have some great prizes on the tombola, such as a new mini hire for the weekend courtesy of Preston Bowker BMW, a completion certificate for riders and our legendary buffet and chat on their return.
Due to the excellent attendance last year we were able to support 4 riders this year, making a real difference to their prospects of fulfilling their dreams of becoming a professional cyclist, and hopefully with your support this year we can do the same again next year.
