Lostock Hall Academy – Presentation of Hi Visibility Vests

Kev hi visWe donated 20 Hi-visibility vests to Lostock Hall Academy, Lewis’ old High School, in 2012 as they are involved in a cycle safety scheme which involves taking classes of children out on their bikes on local roads with qualified coaches to educate them on road safety. The vests will give the group added presence on the roads and make them more visible to vehicles. They may also be used for the running club that is active at the school as they train on local roads also.

The pictures show Lewis’ dad presenting the vests to the PE department.

North West Air Ambulance 2012

NWAA2012Once again we were able to donate monies to the NWAA and on a very windy Saturday morning we were invited to the Barton Aerodrome to meet the staff who man the big yellow bird in the sky. We presented Joanne Fowler the regional fund raiser for the North West and presented her with a cheque for £1,000 on behalf of everyone who came along to our 2nd memorial ride for Lewis. Without these hardy cyclists we wouldn’t be able to help run the air ambulance and we thank every one of you who came along and hope to see you all again next year.
